Employee Comments

Employee’s comment about what working at Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch means to them!

“I have worked at Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch for eight years and working with the children has been such a blessing to me—to be part of their lives and especially their Spiritual lives and being able to pray with them.

I work in the office, so I love to take time to go down during the lunch hour and visit with the children and give hugs. I also have had the privilege of taking residents to my house for a holiday when they are not able to go on pass. I am now a God Parent to one of the residents and do not take the responsibility lightly.”

“Working at the Ranch has opened my eyes about life in general. I absolutely love my job! I feel appreciated when I go home at night.”

“I never knew my oldest brother. He is an alcoholic and a convicted felon. If I can make a difference for any of the youth in our care, then it makes the work at DBGR so much more meaningful. I have been employed by Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch for more than 20 years.”

“Working at the Ranch is a calling just like any other ministry, and I feel very fortunate to be a part of this awesome task force of improving children’s lives in the name of Christ.”

“I have worked for DBGR for eight years, and it just amazes me the transformation these residents make from the first day they are here to the day they are discharged. DBGR really does make a difference in their behavior and their future life.”

“I find it extremely rewarding when our completed Buildings & Grounds projects produce a positive impact that considerably improves the safety or quality of living conditions for our residents—especially when it benefits their overall treatment.”
