This Privacy Notice explains in detail the types of personal data Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch may collect about you when you interact with our website, www.DakotaRanch.org. It also explains how we will store and handle that data.

Personal information we collect automatically when you complete a form on our website or make a donation:

  • Add you to our email newsletter list unless you ask us not to add you. You are also able to unsubscribe from the list by clicking on “Unsubscribe” at the bottom of the email.

Whenever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser or looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page.

We use "cookies" on this site. A cookie is a piece of data stored on a site visitor's hard drive to help us improve your access to our site and identify repeat visitors to our site. We have several forms on our website you can complete to receive more information, to request a contact, or to write an encouraging note to a Ranch child. Completion of these forms is voluntary.

Whenever material changes are made to the privacy notice, we will send an email to through our e-newsletter list. You can sign up to receive updates about the Ranch and to read stories about our kids at http://bit.ly/DakotaRanchPrivacy. You can unsubscribe from the email list by clicking “Unsubscribe” at the bottom of any email newsletter you receive from the Ranch.
