Midco Foundation Grants $1,000 to Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch

The Midco Foundation awarded $1,000 to Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch to underwrite the additional costs (created by the pandemic) of safely operating the Bismarck campus of Dakota Memorial School (DMS), the on-campus school of Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch. Specific costs include purchasing masks for the children, disinfecting, Personal Protective Equipment for the teachers, and individual devices for the kids. Keeping kids safe, while providing the best possible care, is a top priority at the Ranch.

In addition to providing a positive school experience for students (both residents of the Ranch and Day Students), staff and teachers help stabilize school behaviors and provide valuable tools and information to school districts and parents as children transition back to their homes and their home schools.

Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch is a Christ-centered residential treatment and educational center for children. We help the most troubled, complicated and amazing kids by providing best-in-class psychiatric therapy and trauma-informed care, where we look kids in the eye, walk with them, and help them become their best selves. Our on-campus school, Dakota Memorial School (DMS), provides a personalized education for kids who have psychiatric, behavioral, and trauma issues.

Established in 1987 as the charitable giving arm of the Midco family of companies, the Midco Foundation provides funding assistance to charitable entities. To date the Foundation has contributed more than $3.8 million to support the work of non-profit organizations, local governments, and schools.
