Last week, Jonathan Swenson (traveling actor, speaker, vocalist, and ordained minister) performed the show "Witnesses," by Curt Cloninger, for kids and staff at all three Ranch campuses in Minot, Bismarck, and Fargo.
The humorous and moving show recounts the experiences of eight gospel figures, some historical and some imagined, and their memories of Jesus. The play shows viewers many fresh perspectives on who Jesus was and is, and helps them to get to know Him on a more intimate level. As an ordained minister, Jonathan brings a theological depth that is grounded in Biblically-based study and wisdom.
Chaplain Rick Jones, Vice President of Spiritual Life at the Ranch, said, "Jonathan's performance presented the love and hope of God to our kids in ways that were engaging and dramatic. Swenson brings the grace of Jesus to audiences with enjoyment and creativity."
