Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch, Bismarck, ND, was the recipient of a $5,000 grant from the BisMan Community Foundation, a component of the North Dakota Community Foundation. The awarded funds will be used to purchase strong, secure backpacks; quality school supplies; hygiene products; and other useful materials for students leaving Dakota Memorial School, the on-campus school of Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch, and returning to their home schools and communities.
The Bismarck campus of Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch serves children ages 12-18, who have experienced severe trauma, psychiatric issues, and/or developmental challenges. Dakota Memorial School, the on-campus school of Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch, also serves Day Students as young as 7th grade through the Day Program.
Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch is a Christ-centered residential treatment and educational center for children and their families. We help the most troubled, complicated, and amazing kids by providing best-in-class psychiatric therapy and trauma-informed care, where we look kids in the eye, walk with them, and help them become their best selves.
Established in 2011, the BisMan Community Foundation is a permanent endowment fund dedicated to supporting and enhancing the Bismarck-Mandan community. The Foundation strives to improve the quality of life for citizens in Bismarck-Mandan and foster community growth.
