Cass County Electric Cooperative granted $2,547 to Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch for Nutrition Center updates on its Fargo campus.
Dakota Memorial School (DMS), the Ranch’s on-campus school, educates children in residential care at the Ranch, as well as Day Students from Fargo and the surrounding communities, who live at home but benefit from the individualized education provided at DMS. With an increase in the number of Day Students served, new equipment must be purchased to efficiently prep and serve meals to students and staff. Many adolescents served by the Ranch have dealt with food insecurity, so it’s important to provide them with healthy meals on a dependable schedule each day.
The grant from Cass County Electric will help provide healthy and well-balanced meals for kids served at Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch and Dakota Memorial School.
