Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch Awarded Grant by Department of Public Instruction for Equipment Updates

Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch, Minot, ND, was the recipient of a $2,566 grant from the Department of Public Instruction. Funds received will be used to purchase a heating cabinet for the Nutrition Center.

When kids come to the Ranch, they often come from unstable homes, so one of our first goals is to meet their basic needs for food, shelter, and safety. Children can’t heal if their needs aren’t being met at this basic level. This purchase will help us improve food safety, as well as the quality of food served to kids and staff.

The nutrition center is used daily by many people including staff, students at Dakota Memorial School, the on-campus school of Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch) and children in treatment at Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch.

Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch is a Christ-centered residential treatment and educational center for children and their families.
