First Lutheran Church Foundation Awards $2,500 to Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch

Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch, Fargo, ND, received $2,500 from the First Lutheran Church Foundation in Fargo, ND. The funds will be used to support the Spiritual Life Program, including purchasing items for Spiritual Life Groups, individual Bible study, and the chapel space itself.

The Spiritual Life Program is a voluntary program offered to all children who enter care at Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch. Weekly Chapel services, spiritual life groups, and individual spiritual counseling and mentoring allow children the opportunity to explore their faith and beliefs. The Christian values children learn at the Ranch aid in their healing, provide a foundation of hope, and help them to be successful in treatment.

The Ranch’s Spiritual Life Program is completely funded through the generous support of individuals, churches, Thrivent Choice, and foundations across the country.

Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch is a Christ-centered residential treatment and educational center for children and their families. We help the most troubled, complex, and amazing kids by providing best-in-class psychiatric therapy and trauma-informed care, where we look kids in the eye, walk with them, and help them become their best selves.

The First Lutheran Church Foundation is a vital component of the ministry of First Lutheran Church. The purpose of the Foundation is to make disbursements to expand the witness and mission of First Lutheran Church, and to support special missions of the Christian Church in the community, region, and world.
