The Kiwanis Club of Minot awarded $500 to Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch for technology upgrades in the Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes at Dakota Memorial School (DMS), Minot, the Ranch’s on-campus school.
Instruction at DMS is focused on meeting the unique social, psychiatric, and behavioral needs of students. DMS offers on-campus CTE classes where children learn real-world skills like carpentry, finance and accounting, welding, design, and more. Funds from the Kiwanis Club of Minot will be used to purchase technology items that will allow the Ranch to continue providing high-quality CTE classes for its students.
Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch is a Christ-centered residential treatment and educational center for children. Our dedicated and hard-working employees work together to help the most troubled, complex, and amazing kids by providing best-in-class psychiatric therapy and trauma-informed care, where we look kids in the eye, walk with them, and help them become their best selves.
The Kiwanis Club of Minot is a welcoming group banded together by their desire to serve the Minot community, stay informed of local issues through weekly speakers, network, and share the camaraderie of music and fellowship. For more than 90 years, Minot Kiwanians have been giving back to the community and helping kids.
