Dakota Family Services recently hired Lucas Mitzel to provide outpatient therapy in Fargo. Mitzel, a Licensed Master Social Worker, will provide behavioral health therapy for children, adolescents, and adults ages 5-30.
In his practice, Mitzel will use a multi-faceted therapy approach including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and an informed Dialectical Behavioral Therapy approach.
Mitzel has held several positions at Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch where he started as a Youth Care Worker in 2014. Since then he has been a case manager and a therapist. He earned his master’s degree in Social Work from the University of North Dakota. He lives with his wife in Fargo.
