Trinity Lutheran Church Foundation Grants $1,000 to Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch

Trinity Lutheran Church Foundation awarded $1,000 to Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch for the purchase of guitars to be used on our Fargo campus.

The children that come to Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch have experienced severe emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges and come from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and religions. They work hard each day to overcome various diagnoses and issues related to trauma, abuse, and neglect.

Music can be a powerful tool in their healing process. The new guitars will be used for individual lessons with residents in their living areas, for residents assisting with Chapel worship songs each week, and in the new music elective that will be offered beginning Fall, 2019 at Dakota Memorial School, the on-campus school of Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch.

Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch is a Christian residential treatment and educational center for children and their families. We help the most troubled, complicated and amazing kids by providing best-in-class psychiatric therapy and trauma-informed care, where we look kids in the eye, walk with them, and help them become their best selves.

Trinity Lutheran Church Foundation exists to participate in the mission of Trinity Lutheran Church: “Welcoming the community to worship and grow in serving God.” The Trinity Foundation invests today to support ministries in the future.
