BNSF Railway Foundation awarded $2,000 to Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch to upgrade the security on its Minot campus.
Children who come to the Ranch have experienced severe emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges and come from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and religions. They work hard each day to overcome various diagnoses and issues related to trauma, abuse, and neglect. Because many kids at the Ranch come from unstable, even harmful environments, the first step in their healing is an environment that communicates safety and security.
The funds awarded by the BNSF Railway Foundation will allow the Ranch to continue to serve kids and families in a safe and secure environment.
Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch is a Christ-centered residential treatment and educational center for children. Our dedicated and hard-working employees work together to help the most troubled, complicated, and amazing kids by providing best-in-class psychiatric therapy and trauma-informed care, where we look kids in the eye, walk with them, and help them become their best selves.
The mission of the BNSF Railway Foundation is to support and improve the general welfare and quality of life in communities served by BNSF across 28 states. As one of the largest freight railroads in North America, BNSF Railway is focused on making a difference in the communities where its employees live, work, and volunteer.
