The Otter Tail Corporation Foundation awarded $4,000 to Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch to complete safety upgrades on its Fargo campus. Funds will be used to replace the current sprinkler heads with recessed sprinklers in the Nutrition Center and Chapel wing of the Fargo campus.
Children served at Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch often come from homes where they don’t feel safe and environments that aren’t reliable. Physical safety and trustworthiness are core tenets of trauma-informed care. Ensuring Ranch buildings and equipment are safe and dependable helps kids heal and move forward in life. Funds from the Otter Tail Corporation Foundation will help create a safer living environment for the at-risk children served by Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch as they heal from the effects of trauma.
